I adore this little girl, Adele.
She is friends with my youngest son, but moved away last year.
We miss her!
Fortunately, she came for a quick visit over sprint break.
During their playdate I snapped a few photos.

Serious.

Happy.

Silly.

Take Your Child To Work Day.

I'm a little late in posting this, but I had a great time on "Take Your Child to Work Day" this year. Of course, as you can see, I didn't take my OWN child. My kids went to work with their dad (according to them, his job is a lot more fun than mine, psshhht.). Miss Erika's dad has a cool job, but was working from home this particular day, so I invited her to join me. Erika is the same age as my middle son, I've been her team manager for DI for a few years, and I'm good friends with her mom.

I found it beyond adorable to see she'd given herself a
tattoo that matched mine!

Erika in action.

Some of her photos from our time taking photos at a local park.
She edited these herself too!

Portland Portrait Photographer | Wig-tastic.

I snapped this photo of Nikki, my make up artist, before our last boudoir party. It proved to be a fun social experiment, not mentioning anything to the clients about it being a wig. Nobody mentioned her hair at all. Ha!

Portland Child Photographer | Two.

You may recognize this girl from my post a couple of days ago. She's the big sister to newborn twin boys. She's such a doll, though, that I felt she needed her own blog post. She's only 2, but seems much older. Not only is she tall, but she's very verbal and smart.

A few film shots...

Lovin' on her mama.

Life Stories: The story of Rings.

On the last Friday of each month, I post a little something from my personal life as part of a blog circle with other photographers. Please be sure to click on the link at the end of this blog post, to visit the
next photographer's post.

So, I like rings. A lot. The bigger and the gaudier, the better.
Sadly, I couldn't find ALL of my rings, as I tend to take them off and leave them places (my purse, in my car, on shelves, on various pieces of furniture, etc.). I think I have another 5 or 6 that aren't here.
You get the idea, though, right?

So, where is my wedding ring?
It's right here. And believe it or not, it's not big and gaudy. It's understated, delicate, and unique. It is also too small to fit my fingers these days.
I know I could get it resized, but that's like admitting defeat. I will wear this ring again someday!

In the meantime, I sport a very simple silver band.

Portland Newborn Photographer | Lifestyle + twins

You may remember these twins, as I also photographed them in the hospital in April. They were both in the NICU for a bit, but are healthy and happy at home now. It was such a pleasure to visit and photograph this family in their home.

Big sister, checking in on one of her baby brothers.

I love wrinkled, scaly little newborn feet.

I never once asked her to kiss her brothers. She just kept doing it. It was as if she just couldn't get enough of them. I feel ya, girl!

Such a good helper!

Check out this look he gave me!

"Dude, wake up."

Stretchhhhh.

"You are still asleep?"

From a family of 3 to a family of 5, overnight.
